Selfcare – Good Health to You

There’s nothing quite like a night of constant coughing to remind us of the value of good health is there?

I wrote the draft for this post at 3am before Christmas, unable to sleep for yet another night.  I can only sum up time spent with a cold as being incredibly tedious.  Normally I would take the opportunity to read if I couldn’t sleep but you know things are bad when you can’t even concentrate on a book!

So instead I spent the early hours thinking about how I could step up my healthcare for 2015 to reduce the likelihood of more nights like that.  Selfcare comes up time and time again in my coaching room as something that needs improvement.  So often I hear myself reminding others that you can’t look after your loved ones unless you first look after yourself and it’s my time to hear that message now.

Why not spend a few minutes to think of three things you can do to improve your health in 2015?  I’ve started with three things I should find manageable to get the change started:

  1. Remember to take  a coat with me when it’s cold
  2. Actually take my supplements rather than just keep looking at the bottles
  3. Get fresh air every day
