Be careful what you ask for

I’ve heard all the stories about being specific with your goals or you might actually get what you asked for but it might not be what you wanted.  Heard that too?

Well this morning I’m looking at our joint vision board and realise it works for that as well.

Earlier this year I encouraged Mike to add a photo of the bike he was restoring to the board.  I was thinking that would be great encouragement for him.  Looking at the board now I’m smiling to myself as I realise that the bike is still in bits, none of the companies he needs to do work for him have replied to his calls and emails (or if they have he’s not been convinced of their expertise) but….he has bought another bike that is identical!

Yes I’m kicking myself but I’m laughing as well.  Now I’m wondering if we leave the photos there will he get another or will the original be restored?

A secondary lesson here is that a joint vision board can let you know what mischief your partner in life may be getting up to in the near future!  Today I will be reviewing the board and looking at ALL the possibilities.
