Success Teams – who has them?

Have you noticed how many celebrities have their success teams in place?  Yet some how we think we need to reach success before we employ the people who will make our lives easier or who will get us on the right track.

I read an article in Tesco magazine about Davina McCall and her team (the online version does not include this information). Listed in the article are:

  • Hairdresser
  • Make-up artist
  • Stylist
  • PR

In this article Davina talks about how important relationships are to her and it comes across clearly that these are important people in her life as she’s worked with most of them for at least 6 years.  You can tell she had the people she needed in place in the early days.

I particularly noticed this article as it is something I’ve been thinking about a lot since reading ‘My Championship Year’ by Jenson Button . In this account Jenson refers to Team Button which consists of:

and of course a driver always has his pit crew in whichever team he’s racing for.

These mentions have got me thinking about how necessary it is to have the right people around you, whatever it is that you are looking to achieve. Indeed you often hear people say that if you want to be successful you should surround yourself with successful people and if you want to be happy, be with happy people.

It’s interesting to think that Mike and I have already thought about our success team when we were playing ‘If we win the lottery…’ Within minutes we’d decided that we would have a personal trainer, gardener, cleaner, chef and a mechanic (well we’d need help maintaining our fleet of cars and motorbikes!)

I already consider myself to be very lucky as I have always had great teams around me. Those in my work teams have provided me with lots of support, learning and fun. Since being self employed I have massively extended teams of people with a very wide range of skills and knowledge who have been so supportive and helpful to me and my business. The team extends to those who I know online and those who may never know of my existence but whose books have taught me valuable lessons and provided much needed support and encouragement.

I love the thought that I will be included in some people’s success teams, however large or small my contribution may be. That my work makes this more likely is just one of the reasons that I love it so much.  If you think that having me on your team might work for you then I’d suggest that you book one of my Gift Introduction Sessions now to find out if we’re a good match.  I’d love to help you create the success you are looking for.
