Getting started

One of the biggest problems I’ve seen over the years is that we don’t know what our goals are. When I started in this line of work I rather naively thought that clients would turn up at my door with a list of goals and we’d get to work making them happen. I’m wiser now and realise that the most difficult part of all, for many of us, is getting to that stage in the first place. As I start out on this journey I know what some of my goals are but mostly I know the directions that I want to move in or options that I want to consider. I’m going to go back to the basics here and resist the temptation to dive straight into goal setting.

Drawing that mindmap was fairly easy as this has been brewing for some time but looking at it has just made me feel I may be opening a huge can of worms. Overwhelm threatens. So… time to pause.

What timely intervention as my friend arrived at this point for coffee and it took me a whole week to get back to my writing.

Bank Holidays and a long weekend away have alot to answer for but I also needed the break. I’m pretty excited about making changes and sharing this journey but I tend to jump into these things head first without being sure where I’m going with them or how I’ll manage to maintain them.
During the break I’ve decided that I’d like to get new posts ready explaining and setting up before I try a more immediate approach to sharing. That will take off some of the pressure to write on a daily basis (you are seeing the effects of this now as I finally get round to sharing these musings).

About Clare Wildman

YES! I’ve found my purpose in life and it’s to help others to change their life. At some level I’d always known that, I just didn’t know how. Guess how I found out? That’s right I went to a Life Coach and found that coaching was the answer to my own life change and that of others.
