I’m really looking forward to running the Self-care Sunday morning session. It’s odd to think that many of the people who may identify a need to come will be those who struggle to make time…..I get it.

One of the principles we’ll be working with is that of taking small steps to change. That’s my task on the YOU app today….actually it’s to make a TINY change. Where I’ve been working through 2019 on myself I have added lots of different things to my list of small but regular changes so I’m feeling some resistance to this one.
I was thinking that it would need to be something to do with exercise as I know that’s what I most often avoid but looking at my bullet journal it was quickly evident that the thing I avoid most is cleaning. So in a bid to improve the environment I spend most of my time in I’ll be making a tiny change in terms of cleaning. I’m going to restock my cleaning kit in the bathroom so I have cleaning materials upstairs as well as downstairs in the kitchen. That will make it easier to do quick cleans when I have a few minutes between jobs.
It’s so easy to think that self-care is all about diet, exercise and rest but the environment that we spend our time in has a huge effect on us as well.
In the Self-care Sunday workshop we’ll start the day discussing what self-care includes. I’m looking forward to hearing lots of other opinions and ideas to widen my own options.
