Resolutions, goals, dreams, intentions – which is best for you?
It might take longer but the answer is really ‘try them all!’
Remember that your preferences change and one may work better in one area of your life than others. For example having an Intention for your health and a Goal for your career.
I really don’t like generalising but I want to be helpful so….
If you are a black and white type of person, you like structure and/or competition the Goals and Resolutions are more likely to feel comfortable to you. NB you need to be really sure about what YOU want for these to work well or you need to be prepared to refine them over time.
If you aren’t sure what you want, are a free spirit, hate rules and restrictions or are a bit of a rebel then you will probably be better off sticking with Dreams and Intentions. NB things don’t just happen though, you will find you need to take action.
