Friday 20th June

Today has been humbling.

A big thank you to Gabriela, of Smiley Booth Northampton, we only met briefly at a networking event this morning and you’ve made a great impact on me! Not only with a beaming snide that is so infectious but also with your honest observation. As I drove home I recognised that you are right:
I have got stuck in my thinking.
I am putting barrier’s up
and I now have a great way of using Instagram for my business.

The comment you made was a typical coaching style reflection of what you were seeing, a great observation (kindly made). In short it was just the kind of help that I give my client’s… if you ever want a career change… you are a natural.

So this afternoon I’m getting out of my own way. Time to write down all my objections and start brain storming my way through possible solutions. This could take some time!

In the meantime I have the opportunity to use the insight to create a new styling for my social media posts.

Thank you for the wakeup call Gabriela. I can’t stand on my head but I will promise to look at things from a different angle for myself, as well as for my clients, going forward.

Well I promised I would be brutally honest in these posts and I have to admit it really is not comfortable sharing this one. I’m going to go ahead and click publish though as it is such a valuable reminder that:

  • we see in others what we don’t see in ourselves
  • it’s not always easy for us to translate our business skills into our own lives
  • we all have blindspots
  • they can be revealed kindly in away that doesn’t crush us

About Clare Wildman

YES! I’ve found my purpose in life and it’s to help others to change their life. At some level I’d always known that, I just didn’t know how. Guess how I found out? That’s right I went to a Life Coach and found that coaching was the answer to my own life change and that of others.
